Dear parents and guardians,
Welcome! Preparing your child for First Reconciliation and First Eucharist is an important and joyous milestone, and we are so excited to walk with your family on this faith journey. Our family of parishes is committed to supporting you as the primary educators of the faith to your child.
First Reconciliation (Confession) Before a child can receive First Eucharist, they must first prepare for and celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation. This Sacrament is a special opportunity to experience God's loving mercy and forgiveness. It helps a child understand the gift of God's love and prepares them to receive Jesus in Holy Communion with a clean heart.
First Eucharist (Communion) Often called the "Source and Summit" of our Catholic faith, the Eucharist is the moment when we receive the body and blood of Christ. Receiving First Communion is a profound and meaningful step in your child's spiritual life, allowing them to encounter Jesus in a deeply personal way. Through this sacrament, they are nourished and strengthened to live a life of discipleship.
Our sacramental preparation program
We are thrilled to be using "Go, Seek, Find", from St. Mary's Press again this year. Through engaging in-person gatherings, and supplemental at-home sessions, we will prepare your child to understand and appreciate the significance of these beautiful sacraments.
Sunday Mass
A key part of preparation is your family's faithful participation at Sunday Mass. Attending weekly Mass together is the best way to help your child grow in their faith and prepare to join us at the table of the Lord.
Our First Reconciliation and First Eucharist program is open to all baptized children in Grade 2 or older who have not yet received these sacraments.
Registration is now closed. Any new inquiries will be added to our list for next year.
We look forward to this exciting journey with you!
